Okra or Bhindi is a delicious cuisine from the Indian sub-continent and needs just the perfect balance of spices to bring out its true, original flavor. With our pre-portioned spice & herb packets, you don’t have to fret about the quantity of condiments. Just slice Okra into small pieces, sauté to get rid of the slime, and add our special Okra Masala. Hot and spicy okra bursting with flavors is ready to be served. Feast with hot bread, roti or naan for an experience worth treasuring!

1 lb Okra (cut into 1-inch pieces)
3 tbsp lemon juice (bottled or fresh)
2 medium Tomato (Roma/Plum)
½ cup Canola or olive oil
2 medium onions
1 medium green chili
½ tsp cumin seeds*
1 tsp amchur powder*
½ tsp cumin seed powder*
1 tsp salt*
¼ tsp turmeric*
1 tsp red chili powder*
Wash and dry Okra if fresh (can use frozen okra).
Cut into 1-inch pieces.
Add oil into the non-stick frypan and stir fry okra until golden brown.
Take out the okra and put it into the separate plate on the side for later.
In a separate pot add chopped onions and tomatoes.
Add all the spices, chopped green chili, and lemon juice.
Cook for 2 mins on medium heat.
Add the fried okra and mix everything together. Then cover the pot and cook on low heat for 5 min.
